Shorashim Group is an Israeli friendly society uniting a group of volunteers, whose goal is to brighten the day of those less fortunate.
As the holiday season approaches, we are hoping to bring some hope and light to those who need it.

The amount of needy people who aren't able to purchase basic groceries is growing and from holiday to holiday the numbers are increasing.

Shorashim, in Hebrew, means "Roots". We are a group of people from Tel Aviv who got together 7 years ago. We operate twice a year in Pessach and Rosh Hashana (Passover and New Years Eve).

We decided to focus our efforts on helping the elderly and Ethiopians living in Israel (mostly around Tel Aviv) as it seems to be that their cries for help have fallen on deaf ears.
With financial aid received from private & public companies, and help from relatives, friends etc., we purchase groceries associated with the holidays and arrange packages for these people bringing them some joy and comfort at these difficult times.
At the last Passover we managed to reach 700 families!!! With your help we plan to reach these families again and hopefully many more.
The little we manage to give means so much to these people.
